Ocean Park Day
Part of the interest in Hong Kong as a stopover, was Ocean Park: one of the best theme parks in Asia.
The Hair Raiser was the biggest draw of all!
Stealth, home-made, MacGyver Go Pro
.... and PANDAS! Red Pandas....
and proper Pandas!
Decorative Pandas...
It was a really awesome day!!
Markets during the day
Given the short period of time we had in HK, and the fact that we regularly got lost as we looked for all the different markets.... we saw a few.
The Toy Market
Ladies Market
The Goldfish Market
Fa Yuen Street
Sneaker Street
Night markets
We went to the Ladies Market, right around the corner from our hotel, and Scott and I went further one night to see the Temple Street Night Market.
At the Ladies Market
The fortune tellers are a draw at the Temple Street Market...
Arrival at the Cordis
In Hong Kong, we stayed at the Cordis Hotel,at Langham Place -- very special! We consider this our first LUXE experience these holidays. We were on the 37th floor with Amazing views!!
My ridiculous selfie does not do the Master Suite toilet justice. All glass and mirrors, a rain shower head, and a spa bath with a window out to the Master bedroom and beyond, to the city views. I made good use of all the amenities.
China reclaimed HK in 2010, and it was interesting to see the mix of commercialism and socialism in the city. These statues in the foyer are a couple of the many juxtapositions we noticed.
The pool was fab... on the roof with a great bar and gorgeous pool views.... See below. We swam into the sunset one night.
Family Vacay
I have been slack! My friend Lori thinks I'm a terrible blogger as I haven't been keeping up with accurate and timely documentation of life so far.
So..... **big breath** ..... Here are some highlights from our family trip to Canada via Hong Kong. --Jackson and Ella-Jade's first time in North America and China.

We began our adventure with an overnight at a hotel out at the airport in order to make our early morning flight a bit easier. What better way to start our adventure! Complimentary red wine and chocolate!!
The next morning, waiting for our boarding call.
